Kanye West to Counter-Sue Former Assistant Amidst Sexual Harassment Allegations

Rapper Kanye West, also known as ‘Ye’, has announced plans to counter-sue his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, following her accusations of sexual harassment and breach of contract. 

Pisciotta’s lawsuit alleges that West sent her inappropriate texts and engaged in explicit acts during phone conversations.

West’s legal team has dismissed these allegations as “baseless”, accusing Pisciotta of “blackmail and extortion” after the star reportedly rejected her sexual advances. 

“In light of these unfounded allegations, Ye will be initiating a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta,” stated West’s legal representative.

Pisciotta, who worked for West from 2021 to 2022, initially joined his fashion line before transitioning to the role of personal assistant with an annual salary of $1m (£780,000). 

During her tenure, she claims to have received explicit texts from West, some of which included pornographic videos. 

She also alleges that West engaged in explicit acts while on the phone with her and once trapped her in a private room on his plane.

The former OnlyFans model claims she was abruptly dismissed in 2022 without receiving her promised severance package. 

However, West’s lawyer disputes this narrative, stating that Pisciotta was “terminated for being unqualified” and for “demanding unreasonable sums of money”, including a proposed annual salary of $4m (£3.13m).

The legal team further accuses Pisciotta of “lascivious, unhinged conduct”, alleging that she consistently used sexual coercion to demand money and luxury items, including designer handbags and a Lamborghini car. 

They also claim that Pisciotta attempted to blackmail West for $60m (£47m) after he rejected her advances.

The BBC reached out to Ms. Pisciotta for a response, but she has yet to reply. 

On Tuesday, she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story: “Your soul becomes aligned with freedom when you allow others the liberty to dislike you, judge you and disagree with you.”
