Whoopi Goldberg Slams Trump’s Remarks on ‘The View’

In a recent episode of the popular talk show ‘The View’, co-host Whoopi Goldberg expressed her strong disapproval of former President Donald Trump’s controversial remarks.

The comments that sparked Goldberg’s ire were made by Trump during an interview with TIME Magazine, where he outlined his plans if he were to be re-elected in the upcoming 2024 election.

Trump’s proposed plans include pardoning the Jan. 6 rioters, allowing states to monitor women’s pregnancies, prosecuting abortion ban violators, and deploying the military to deport migrants and establish migrant detention camps.

However, it was Trump’s assertion of an ‘anti-white feeling’ in the country that particularly incensed Goldberg.

Whoopi Goldberg, visibly upset, responded to Trump’s comments on the show, saying, “Nobody in your family was hung.

Nobody in your family was chased because of the colour of their skin. How dare you? There’s no ‘anti-white’ issue here.

You are perpetrating anti-humanist issues here.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin also weighed in on the matter, stating, “I’m glad he said the quiet part out loud. If you vote for him, you know exactly what you’re getting.”

Both Goldberg and Hostin have been vocal critics of the 45th president, despite his continued support from a segment of the population.

During the daytime talk show, Goldberg told her co-hosts and the audience how she believed it was imperative to support Biden’s run for re-election and added that those who don’t would be supporting a ‘dictator.’

‘I’m going to put you people away. I’m going to take all the journalists, I’m going to take all the gay folks, and I’ll move you all around and disappear you,’ Goldberg said of what she believes Trump would do once elected.

She added, ‘If that’s the country you want, you know who to vote for. If that’s not the country you want, you have to make a decision.’

The debate over Trump’s comments and their implications continues, with public opinion divided on whether Goldberg’s response was justified or if Trump’s remarks hold any merit.

As the 2024 election approaches, these discussions are likely to intensify, shaping the political landscape of the country.
